It is rare to find a book in our classroom that doesn't show evidence of being explored and loved by countless little hands. These books can open their eyes to a world of endless possibilities and allow them to jump into the story as if they were there. Becoming a confident reader takes a lot of practice. Giving my students access to these decodable readers will provide them with an explicit, phonics based approach to practice reading text with the utmost confidence. These books will give my students the opportunity to dive into the world of literature that is high interest and highly decodable. Most of my students have little memory of what classroom experiences were like, pre-pandemic. It is my goal to make sure that our days in the classroom are filled with the best resources and the best activities possible to foster growth and learning. The resources that will help me target any learning gaps I may find along the way. I know that they will be the perfect addition to our high energy, enthusiastic, and loving classroom.
