The resources I'm requesting will help my students return to the classroom after a year of pandemic learning by fostering their integration of nature while building academic content knowledge. Drawing science is a passionate experience that allows students to demonstrate learning through careful observation of their environment and giving them the opportunity to express that through images, symbols, words, pictures or any creative way they choose. Multi-disciplinary science depends on using models to construct ideas of larger concepts to anchor their learning in real-world phenomena. My class curriculum has a built in drawing/journaling component that helps students uncover their love for the natural world and learning to freely express their understanding in a way that makes sense to them.
