As Covid is nearing it's end, I am already brainstorming and excited for what next school year holds. If my students were able to receive the gift of a class set of Orff Instruments, they would be elated! This year, they have worked hard on learning how to read rhythm, pitch, to prepare for the next level of their musicianship next year, playing an instrument. I would like to give them the world next year, but we are unable to provide instruments for each class of 25 students. Orff Instruments are rather expensive and there is no way I can purchase them with my budget. The gift of these instruments would enable our students to put all of their reading skills to work! My dream would be to have enough for each child to use and perform on for our Fall, Christmas, and Spring Concerts each year. I know that our students would be over the moon excited to learn an instrument, guild the foundational music skills needed to prepare for middle school studies and grow as a musical family.
