This fall I will be launching our new ceramics program at our school. So far we have managed to collect enough equipment to have a fully functioning clay studio. The one big piece of equipment that we are still missing is a pug mill. The pug mill is a clay mixer that allows you to reuse dried-out clay. Over time having the pug mill will help our school save money. Adding a pug mill to our clay studio will also help teach our students the value of recycling and the beautiful process that these ancient materials go through in becoming ceramic objects.
