Books increase empathy. As we understand each other, we appreciate and honor the struggle we must all go through. This selection of books will inspire and encourage readers to do the best they can and help others on their journeys as well. Public education is key to overcoming racial prejudice and bias that is clearly a part of our society. Learning and understanding have to happen. Books are key to that learning.
