My students are in need of a large classroom rug to spread out and get comfortable with a good book! All students in my first grade classroom spend time reading independently each day. During this time, they choose books from our classroom library to explore. Having a large classroom rug would give my students the opportunity to practice their reading strategies while reading alone or with a partner. I would love to give the students the ability to get up and out of their chairs to read. Having a place where my students can safely and comfortable engage in their books would be a great addition to our room!
