My students learn in all different ways (watching, listening, doing, speaking, writing, reading...the list goes on!) and it is my job as their teacher to encourage all these learning methods. Success in a low-income community is synonymous with the quality of the children's education. In order to break the cycle of poverty, these kids need to grow in both their education and their self-confidence. Classroom basics, such as the items on my list, will help me give each child assistance in their own unique way of learning. With coloring pencils for coding maps, and heavy duty folders for organizing their completed assignments, we will be off to a tremendous start!
