Building a strong foundation in reading is crucial to later academic success and confidence. This project is geared towards our earliest readers. I'd love to have a set of stuffed puppies available in the library that our TK, Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders can practice reading too (and also snuggling.) I've also requested Mo Willem's delighftul books series, Elephant and Piggie. Not only is the series award winning for emergent readers, it's also full of fun! With a stuffed puppy to read too, and a wonderful book to practice with, our youngest students will have fun without even realizing that they're working on their important reading skills.
