These Bench/Squat racks will complete our weight room and allow our Physical Education classes to have a fully functional weight room. As of now our facility is set up for cardio and body weight, which is plenty for first year students. However, our second and third year students want, and need, to be challenged. We have the weights, bars, and benches, but are missing the racks to complement them. These racks will complete the set so our students can start to push themselves not only physically, but also in their understanding of how the body works. They can increase their hands on knowledge of muscle gain and the difference between muscle endurance and muscle strength. This will in turn expand their ability to create more detailed information in their workouts and projects.
