The students were very happy and enjoyed learning how the Spanish Speaking countries celebrate the Holidays. The students watched a movie that showed how people in Spanish countries value religion, family, music, and food. They learned that every country has a different way to embrace the importance of getting together to have a great time with others around the Holidays.\r\n \r\nAfter the movie, I explained to the students how Spanish countries celebrate Three King's Day in the month of January. People from Spanish countries value religion and recognize that Baby Jesus was a gift to humanity and that the Three Kings also brought gifts to Baby Jesus and use it as a symbol of the tradition for kids to celebrate the time of joy in the Holidays. In addition, I talked about the values of family and cooking around the Holidays. I showed the students how to prepare several recipes from Mexico during class and afterwards students had the opportunity to taste the food from Mexico that I prepared. The donation added valued to the activity and made it very easy for conducting the lesson. The students were able to have an amazing time while they ate, listen to music, and gather with other classmates in class to enjoy the time together. \r\n \r\nOn behalf of the students, myself, and the Principal, I want to thank you so much for your support and for putting our students first. The smiles and gratitude from all of us is beyond words. You made a difference in the students' lives by taking the time to support us with the project. It was a pleasant surprise for the students that I know will impact their lives in a very special way.\r\n \r\nThank you again for making a difference in the lives of our students.","fullyFundedDate":1729977298102,"projectUrl":"project/las-comidas-de-los-pases-hispanohablant/8497971/","projectTitle":"Las Comidas de los PaĆses Hispanohablantes","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Natal","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9593530"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_122453","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1509,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":67,"percentAsian":9,"percentBlack":22,"percentWhite":15,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":48,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":57.9,"schoolId":122453,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Paul Duke STEM High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Paul Duke STEM High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/gwinnett-county-public-schools/paul-duke-stem-high-school/122453"}
