These materials will help enhance our science and math center by helping to engage them in exploring and learning. It will give them the opportunity to see what real life specimens look like such as bugs or even sea creatures. The science viewers will give them the opportunity to explore the world of animals, sea life and insects and spiders. They will be able further their knowledge of shapes by learning how to identify them and by color and sorting them. The gel bead sensory shapes will also expose them to more shapes that they will be able to touch and explore. These are important goals that we are working on in the classroom. The children enjoy learning about new things and they will pick up materials that are placed in centers in the classroom because they are curious about the world around them. By having these items in the math and science center they will have the opportunity to explore items that they normally would not have the chance to experience in their everyday lives. Children learn best though play and by adding these items, they will be able to strengthen many skills helping them the achieve their goals.
