These materials will make a huge difference in the lives of my students! I am a new teacher in a low income area. Many of my students love to read, but they don't have access to appropriate reading materials at home. They love to sit in the library that I am trying to create and read the few books I have bought. With the donated reading materials, I can grow my library and their love of reading. I will use these books and magazines to create a library for the kids. They will get to choose books or magazines for their reading station. They will also be able to check out books to keep with them, and read at home or after they have finished their work. I know that to become a great reader you have to read. I want these kids to be excited about reading by having stories that are meaningful to them.
