After the three branches of government are presented in class, students will be able to use colored pencils to create colorful, study bookmarks noting the roles and responsibilities of each branch. The goal of this unique visual is to positively impact students by helping them retain necessary information for quizzes and exams in a creative way! Games such as LCR and Tenzi are dice games proven to increase communication and have a positive impact on student emotions and behaviors. I would like to incorporate theses games into each week’s lessons to give students time to simply connect and talk to one another in a stress-free setting. COVID has had a negative impact on learning and emotions the past year and as a direct result, students’ social emotional needs and ability to communicate in person have suffered. As a result, they would benefit tremendously from team building games and activities as a part of our class. Finally, lap boards and markers will create a new and different format for students to respond to questions throughout lessons.
