My job is to make sure my students and families have the best learning experience as possible in a very safe, caring and fun environment. Due to the special needs of my students, they need learning tools that can foster their independence while following all safety protocols. These items must be ones that I can easily sanitize. Most importantly, these items must be engaging for my students--brightly colored, encourage a variety of different skills (fine motor, sorting, matching, identifying), and FUN! I teach in a community that continues to be greatly impacted by Covid-19. Sadly, many of my families have had multiple members who were, and continue to be sick. We all want the students to be back in the classroom, but I must assure their families that I am doing all that I can to make sure their children are safe and happy while learning within the classroom.
