The wonderful students at my school struggle in a very low income area. The "No Child Left Behind" Act hit our arts programs pretty hard and we are now trying to rebuild our choir program. Our school's motto is "Dream of College and Beyond". As a faculty, we are working hard to get as many of our students to college as possible. We have a wonderful multicultural student body, giving our choirs so much diversity and excitement. We have at least 40 languages spoken at our school and there is a great feeling of respect and welcoming to each of the cultures found within the walls. Many of our students are refugees, having only been in the country at times a couple of days or weeks. Music creates a spectacular environment for us to come together and celebrate our unique differences.
