Diversity shouldn't be contained by one month of the year. I want my students to have access all year round to this rich library . "When books don't serve as mirrors to children, they learn a powerful lesson about how the are devalued in society." Dr. Rudine Sims Bishop states in the Multicultural Literacy article "Mirrors, Windows, and Slider Glass Doors."
