Our students have spent over a year and half learning from home. Because of this, lots of big feelings are coming up about missing home or being nervous in a brand new environment. Our Kindergarteners, first graders and second graders are struggling with this the most, but these tools and resources could benefit students all the way up to the 5th grade. A great way to help young students regulate their feelings is by meeting their sensory needs to help them focus while in class. As the school counselor, it is my job to help students regulate their emotions and feelings so they can become ready and able to learn. Having all of these tools would be so helpful to our entire school in helping students to regulate their sensory needs and calm down whenever they are having big feelings, especially big feelings that lead to meltdowns in the classroom. Thank you so much for looking at this project! It is awesome that you are considering donating to donors choose as educators everywhere need so many resources. I can only hope that you choose to help our school as well. Thank you!
