It is very important for students to have equal access to technology and classroom supplies. I would love for my classroom to be stocked with a class set of calculators so that every student has access. Students are expected to know how to use a calculator in high school. At the high school level, students use scientific calculators to better understand how altering an equation or expression can impact the final answer. Calculators also eliminate the tedious computations, that is often times discouraging, so that students can dive deeper into the mathematics.
