Technology has changed the way students learn. Students are now more technically savvy and the traditional teaching model has become more than just book, paper, and pen. The Microsoft Surface Pro tablet would be another way to bring information about various subjects to the students. The Microsoft Surface Tablet, MS ky oard and MS stylus would help me empower my students to aspire beyond the limitations of their imaginations. It would improve their learning experience and they would become more invested in their education. I would have the opportunity to create videos to teach a math concept or edit student work, highlighting important details that help the learning process. Writing, sketching, highlighting, drawing, and annotating are a huge part of the teaching and learning process. The Surface Tablet also has a surface pen the students can use on the tablet to explain their work, share their ideas, create art pieces, or solve a math problem. This is an exciting interactive opportunity for my students to work independently and collaboratively. Any math, language art, science and even art project the students worked on can be projected on the screen to actively engage my students in their own learning. The use of technology sparks excitement and eagerness to learn. As a teacher it is my job to produce independent, confident individuals ready to make an impression on the world. The Surface Tablet would give my students experience with this type of technology that they do not have access to outside of school. It would help enable my students to experience learning beyond the traditional teaching model and spark their interest in furthering their education.
