These materials will make a difference in our students' learning because they are using creativity to create their project. Students are using math to calculate cutting and stitching. These students have never had experience with sewing therefore they are starting from scratch. We as teachers purchased 5 sewing machines with our personal money to initiate the first sewing club in our middle school. Our students are thinking big despite the fact they are beginner sewers! They want to learn to sew to display a runway project show at our school. We are excited to see them sew a straight stitch and learn the parts of a sewing maching to be able to make a great beginning last a lifetime experience!
