At 811x, we strive to provide all students with appropriate, authentic, and stimulating learning experiences that will maximize their independence and quality of life. We provide services for students with Autism, learning/physical, and multiple disabilities. Despite the challenges, our students are eager to learn and engage each and every day. My students are highly motivated by technology, and as a speech provider, I use their love of technology to promote access to educational materials and social opportunities. During this pandemic, the use of technology has been even more inevitable. It has opened varied opportunities and a greater need for adequate technology to reach my students. I work with 6 or more classes each year that serve students with both cognitive and physical challenges. Many of my students have physical and cognitive disabilities, which can make a typical lesson difficult. Your donation would help me further realistic and modern lessons to ensure that my students reach their full potential. Through our activities, they have become leaders in their own learning.
