Since many of my students are remote, we zoom everyday. Currently, my Chromebook cannot handle Zoom with videos and sometimes it delays, or simply shuts down. Students deserve to learn in the most comprehensible manner. Since I teach French, it is important that students are able to see and hear me clearly. It is also important that I see students so I can gauge their speaking proficiency level as well as develop a rapport with them. Developing relationships is important to me because language acquisition requires students to put their guard down and take risks. Getting to know each other makes the process easier. There are also certain language software programs that I would like to use but require a PC. These programs will help to improve student engagement on campus and during remote learning.
