We are gearing up for our first year of Music Class at Detroit Prep! We believe that providing a high-quality music education is necessary as we work to provide an equitable education for all students. Recent studies show strong connections between participation in music and a positive impact on brain functions. We also believe in teaching our students about all parts of the musical process: music history, music theory, rhythm, composition, songwriting, music production, and more. Learning how to play a wide range of instruments will not only provide meaningful experiences and development for our students during their time in school, but will also provide opportunities for our students in high school bands, college scholarship opportunities, and more! We would be so grateful if you could contribute to making our first year of music class possible!
