The class set of Holes and Maniac Magee, will allow each student to have their own copy of the novels. This will allow them to read the story collectively or independently. It will also assist with increasing their love of reading and desire to enjoy independent reading time in the classroom and at home. Additionally, the TPT gift cards will be used to purchased correlating reading and writing activities to reinforce skills such as cause and effect, conflict resolution, and text-based writing. By donating to our project, you will not only help students improve their reading and writing skills, you will ultimately help to increase their overall academic achievement. The best way for students to increase their reading ability and build confidence is through practice. These books and supplemental activities will continue to assist my students with becoming more fluent readers, writers, and all-around successful students.
