Many students want to achieve a level of fitness that can only be achieved by constant progression in their workouts. I am teaching my physical education students about strength training and the types of workouts, lifts and exercises that they can do to improve components of fitness that involve strength. One concept that I touched on is progressive overload, where you are increasing the resistance, time, sets, or reps of a certain exercise or lift week to week to challenge yourself an put needed stress on muscle groups to see growth. Some students have access to resistance bands but many do not. With the restrictions on contact and social distancing it would be great for students to have their own resistance band that they can not only use in class but on their own time.
