Due to the pandemic, the students at my school are learning from home. While at school, I have a class set of pliers that all students can share. Since students are no longer able to share, this DonorsChoose project covers the cost of 20 pliers that will go in "Take-Home" Toolboxes for my students. Students will have their own toolboxes to do all their lab work which allows me to keep the curriculum hands-on. A core educational belief of mine is that all education should be tied to something a student is passionate about; unfortunately, hands-on education requires a lot of equipment. This project helps my Robotics, Engineering I, and Engineering II students explore their courses through various hands-on projects rather than textbook readings. Without these supplies, I will be unable to implement At-Home labs and experiments. I believe project-based-learning activities are more meaningful and more effective.
