I teach 20 dedicated third graders with diverse needs in Utah. Our school is a small K-9 charter where the SEM model of gifted and talented education is brought to ALL learners, not just the "gifted" ones. Despite the complications of in-person learning during a pandemic, my students have been amazing. If you don't believe me, just stop by during math! Have you ever seen an eight-year-old jump for joy when they finally "get it"?
