My students attend a small, rural school with Title I funding. My school has recently had an increase in special needs students. My students are an awesome and diverse group of kids with many different needs. My students have physical and behavior needs that cannot be met in a typical classroom setting and often need just a bit more to help them succeed. Creating a sensory space will provide a calm down space and a space for my students to get the sensory input that they need to regulate themselves so they can focus and be successful in school.
