Last year I was lucky enough to receive a grant for a new writing center. Now I need to fill it with materials students can use to explore writing. I borrowed stencils from a coworker last year. Every day students were there exploring the stencils. I currently don't have appropriate learning materials for students to explore letters and numbers. Adding in stencils, stamps, tracing cards and stamp pads will allow students to explore writing their letters and numbers. It opens up conversations between peers and adults. Kids love stencils ! I hope I am able to have some in our classroom for them to use all year long.
