Distance learning in PE has been a struggle. PE is important during this time because many students spend hours sitting at the computer. In my class, we focus on stretching and elevating our heart rate during workouts. We are also learning about many sports, such as golf, ultimate frisbee, and general fitness. I have presentations, videos, and interactive slides to help students interact. I have requested for a new computer and a portable microphone to enhance my classes. The laptop the school provides each teacher with cannot handle 50 students with their cameras on and a presentation. I have experienced many technical difficulties and have had to use my personal laptop which is starting to fail as well. I am requesting a microphone so that students can hear me when I have stepped away from the computer to show certain exercises or equipment. Although both of these items are to enhance distance learning, they will also help my teaching when we move to in class instruction.
