As students are learning how to do science we often ask them to, "put on your scientist hat" so they can begin to think like a scientist. As a 6 or 7 year old getting into the science mindset, it is extremely important to create the role of scientist so they will become enthusiastic about the scientific method! With these lab coats and hand lenses, the students will be able to jump into a scientist role and create, conduct, and evaluate hands on learning experiments within the classroom. They will not only allow the students to get into the role of a scientist, they will actually become scientists in the classroom.
