This project will provide my students new texts to read independently. Reading shouldn't be boring! These new novels and Scope subscription would provide my students with more current texts and topics. The Scope subscription also includes digital copies so the students would be able to continue to read the magazine at home. The new novels would begin to help supplement my First Chapter Friday project, which introduces students to a new novel every Friday. Having the novel in my classroom library would provide my students the opportunity to continue to read.
