The Chromebooks on my DonorsChoose page will assist my students to further strengthen their skills and in turn, help to close the gap due to school closures last year. Students are showing lower scores at the beginning of the year assessments than those students from last year. We all know that virtual learning at home is not for everyone. That is why it is more important than ever to help close the gaps the students have. The Chromebooks will assist me in doing so. The Chromebooks will allow my small teacher group instruction to become stronger, as my students will be able to utilize technology to access our resources. I teach both Reading and Math in a small group setting, 4-5 students in each session. In this way, I can quickly pinpoint which students require further instruction on the material. The Chromebooks will help me to reach these students by giving them further practice on the skill, while still in front of me. That way, if they have any questions, we can address them immediately.
