For the past few years I've reached out to friends and family to sponsor each student in my class and give a book each month to them. I would love to continue this but add a little extra something. In a recent reading inventory, almost all of my students said they had not read a magazine before. So in addition to getting a book each month from Scholastic, I'd like to provide them with a magazine each month. This subscription comes with both print and digital versions of the non fiction and current events magazine. With some of my students doing remote learning and the rest in person, it can be difficult to find activities for them to collaborate on. With a Scholastic Magazine subscription and a book of their own each month, we can have discussions and collaborate together while learning about social studies, science, and the current events that encompass both.
