In first grade, I have been tasked with introducing ALL subjects to my students and to keep all my ELL's (English Language Learners) engaged with daily lessons. As a bilingual instructor, I get most of the students that use English as their second language so that I can provide the accommodations they need. Spanish is my second language. The device will allow me to explore different applications that are full of pictures, videos, and interactive learning games. These methods will facilitate the learning process and benefit our students. Kids will have fun, challenging tasks to complete and learning will become the by-product! I have already begun basic training on different platforms that introduce reading, math, science, and other subjects in creative, imaginative ways. This tool will broaden my capacities to not only reach my students, but I can train my colleagues using other programs so that they can take advantage of what I've learned.
