My students have been seeing and playing with the same equipment and balls for many years now. With new equipment the students will be excited and will want to be more engaged. When they are engaged they learn more. Also, when they are engaged they are less distracted from the negative things that may be going on at home or if they got in trouble earlier in the day. When my students come to PE I want them to feel safe, be engaged, learn new skills and have so much fun!
