My students are aiming to gain as many vocational skills prior to "exiting" from the public school system at the age of 22 so they are independent and prepared to enter the workforce. With a Cricut printer, we will be making greeting cards and other crafts that will provide the students with the opportunity to expand on their computer skills along with focusing on some fine motor skills, which is always an area that we can improve on! The cards and crafts will then be sold as fundraisers to provide the students with items in our student store that they can purchase using the classroom money that they earn during their hours working at school, which then provides them with valuable money skills including budgeting and saving. The Cricut printer is such a versatile tool that I know we will have unlimited opportunities to expand the students' skill sets and creativity to allow them to experience creating and running their own business!
