I am the Preschool Autism Intervention Specialist in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District in Cleveland, Ohio. My students all have a variety of needs in order to learn and grow. Due to COVID19, my school district has decided to be remote for the first 9 weeks of school. With my students being 3-5 years old as well as having Autism, using technology as the only source of learning is going to be extremely difficult for not only my students, but their families as well. Many of the students and families in our district and in my classroom face many day to day challenges on top of the global pandemic. Many of my families want to provide their child with all the materials to help them to be successful, however do not have the means to do so. I would like to put together some learning kits of physical materials that will help my students during this difficult time! These materials will be for use at their homes to help with their variety of needs. My students all come from low income households.
