During this period of Distance Learning, my students will greatly benefit from having the many basic school supplies that they will need to be more successful learners in our Spanish immersion first grade class. White boards for example, will assist students with their continued developing math, reading, writing and Spanish language acquisition skills. The Spanish book titles I chose are to read aloud virtually and eventually in person to enhance student Spanish language acquisition while at the same time helping us explore essential socio emotional themes. The provided art supplies will allow students to be able to participate in weekly guided drawings which will help promote their Spanish language and listening skills while also developing their focus, fine motor skills as well as their creativity.
