A very important aspect of art is the study of color and color mixing. This is a fundamental experience we offer our students in both painting and drawing. Unfortunately, we don't have the funds to provide each student with their own materials. This includes commonly used mediums such as acrylic paint (for all classes) colored pencils (for all classes) and soft pastels (used in Studio and AP Art). Even when we return to school, students will not be able to share materials in the way we normally do. While we have provided a base kit for all our students to bring home for the beginning of school, it mostly consists of black and white, so graphite (pencils) and black gel pens and paper. Certainly, we will boost drawing skills quite a bit, but color goes the distance to enrich and celebrate. Unique personal expression is made possible by access to a full palette of colors! The amount comes to $26 a student, which will allow them their own materials and the ability to work at home or at school depending on how this year unfolds. Any amount is great! Any donation beyond the $26 dollars is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, forwarding this to others is great support. Together we can do this!
