This color printer will allow me to see multiple drafts, layouts, and multimedia presentations in my hands IN COLOR. This will be immensely useful for projects in my English classes and even more so in Journalism. In Journalism students usually print out a sample of the newspaper layout we worked on in Adobe InDesign (or another software) prior to sending it out to a professional publisher. We usually sit around individually inspecting the articles, captions, and images for defects and oversights, but in Black and White, which can be frustrating, since we print in color. For visual learners, which my students are, color works best and would be more professional and representative of the final outcome. Put simply, it makes the copy pop and would better engage the attention of my students. Aside from printing out student work and presentations, the scanner feature will allow me to scan and upload onto our class' website from home for distance learning. This printer will help tremendously!
