These guided reading book sets will not only help students learn and apply essential reading skills during small group lessons, it will also allow them to understand and discuss a wider variety of people and topics. Having a diverse collection of books will increase student engagement and provide the background for rich, deep discussions at the guided reading table. It is important for students to read new books frequently to apply what they are learning. Seventeen new book sets would increase the collection of titles second grade teachers would have to offer to their students.

About my class
