Finding reading material that interests middle school students who read at an elementary school level appears difficult. Many times, books that appear within their reading level look childish or elementary, causing my students to dislike reading even more intensely. By helping me purchase these high interest, low level selections, you can support a child's education and bolster their self esteem. Every child deserves a champion who will challenge them to do their best even with the odds stacked against them. These students can do amazing things armed with the appropriate materials. The books I chose for this project teach not only reading skills but life lessons as well.
