These books will help a new teacher grow a diverse and engaging library for a first grade classroom. My goal is that every student in my class has opportunities to read books that interest them, show them the world around them, and challenge them. I want all of what makes my students special to be represented in our classroom library. With these new books, my students will be able to read independently with grade-level resources to build their confidence in their reading ability. The more my students read the more they will learn and grow.
