These books will anchor each of our literacy lessons throughout the first half of the year. These specific books are chosen to hit multiple literacy concepts that students need to learn in first grade, therefore they will be able to be used multiple times in the year! Having picture books to read while distance learning is very important for our demographic because many students do not have ample amounts of books to read at home, therefore most of their reading will be done with digital stories. Being able to be on video chat with them and read a physical book will help them learn and love the concepts of print and reading.
