The rug now has a beautiful home in our classroom library, which has transformed into a bright, cozy space for student learning. This area is used for community meetings, whole-class lessons, reading, and even as a sensory space for some of my students.\r\n\r\nMy students were overjoyed to see this lovely addition and were eager to use the rug. It has quickly become a very popular spot in the classroom.\r\n\r\nCurrently, my class is wrapping up their first unit of learning for the year and working on projects to showcase their understanding. The materials donated have been used and loved by students! We have used the whiteboards daily, enjoy using the magnetic letters to build words in phonics, and the other supplies to get everyday tasks done. The students have particularly loved the unifix cubes and use them often in math! One particular project we used them for was for our measurement unit.
