Upon completion of this project, my students will receive a large area rug for the classroom. Our area rug will be used both for instruction and for community-building activities. We come together every day. Sometimes we come together on the rug for instruction in reading and math. Often times, we come together to play a game or do a team-building activity. Students will be given opportunities to work together on the rug on a project or an educational game. This area rug will become the center of our classroom. A place where students can play, work, and learn!
