My students were unexpectedly thrown into a situation that is beyond anyone's control. They miss school, their friends and classmates, and doing art every Friday. With everything going on around them, I want my students to be able to break free from their daily class assignments and still do art. Studies suggest that creativity reduces anxiety, depression, and stress. This would be the perfect activity for them to express themselves creatively through art. We need art more than ever especially during this stressful time. I will incorporate art every Friday as part of their curriculum.
