Right now all my students have are hard chairs at their desks and a rug in front of the classroom. They have a very hard time sitting in their seats which makes attending to their learning difficult. They are already behind academically and being able to focus on their work will help them catch up to where they need to be.
With these flexible seating options, they will be a lot more engaged and excited about learning. They will be able to learn while sitting in a way that is the most comfortable to them and helps them attend the best. The wobble chairs and balance balls will allow them to be able to move all around while still sitting and help them focus. They are great for students who have a hard time sitting still. The floor seats and beanbags will be a comfortable place to get their independent work done and a change from just sitting at their desks. Although the privacy partitions are not seating, they are much needed for students who needs it on their desks to help them focus on their work without looking at the distractions around the room. I want them to be excited to enter my classroom each day, and this seating will definitely help.
