Proper footwear is essential for physical activity! Physical education classes incorporate a large number of activities with forward and lateral movements. Sometimes children’s footwear is chosen based upon what is aesthetically pleasing and/or affordable than what is best for safety and efficient movement. Many of these stylish shoes are not appropriate for physical education class and I worry about the safety of my students. Sometimes children come to class with shoes that are too small, broken, too worn, and no support and they do not have the means to buy new ones right away. This project will allow my students to borrow proper shoes while being active in physical education class. They forgot their shoes at their grandma's house. No problem, I have them covered. Those shoes don't have any traction, borrow from my stash! Those are the only shoes you have right now? I think I have something you can use that may be a little safer to play in! Thank you so much for your time and consideration for funding my project!!
